A friend of mine decided to get married this year (thought she's still very young)... and i was asked to be 1 of her brides-maid... i shall only comment on the wedding, which was held today...
It's by far the coolest wedding I've attended... so looking forward to tomorrow's wedding dinner...
my friend came over to my place last night to stay... we ended getting almost no sleep at all... haha... after we ate some simple breakfast, we left my house to go to the bride's house at about 3.30am (siao)...
we reached the house slightly before 4am... those staying over night there (including the bride) was found to be just waking up not long ago... some were bathing... after some chit chatting and dilly dallying, one by one the video man (s) and make-up artist arrived...
I'll just go roughly through the groom taking the bride part... because the groom and best-mans arrived a bit late on schedule (due to parking problem and video-man)... although the groom was just a few houses away down the row (they went one round around the area before reaching the bride's house to make it look nicer)... and the games the groom and best-mans went through wasn't as fun as planned due to some faults that occurred (a real shame)... though we did prepare really tough, disgusting, difficult and humiliating games... sigh...
but one of my main point of this blog is about the convoy of the groom and best-mans... superbly stunning to me... haha... (maybe it's because I'm a jakun)... the convoy was made up of 9 cars (excluding the bride's car)... in this 9 cars, 4 of the cars were race car... super cool... it was heard that actually there was to be 8 race cars, but unfortunately 4 of the 8 race cars were 'crushed' in some races... the other 5 cars are quite classy too... there was accords, a few Mercedes and perhaps Volvo too... I'm not too very sure about these 5 cars because I'm not an expert in this field, and also because the cars were all moving at quite a high speed (all i could notice is the car I'm in, the car in front and the race cars)... haha...
shortly after obtaining the bride, we went to somewhere around Johor Jaya ( i think) to offer incense to the ancestors of the groom's side... then, we rushed back to the groom's house for the tea ceremony at the groom's house (which was a few houses away from the bride's house)... i and my friends went in a Mercedes (i think)...
after the tea ceremony, there was some photo taking and then there was a buffet... after the buffet, there were some more of the photo taking...
then, it was time to go back to the bride's house... the bride changed into a jiongsam and went back to her house... there, another tea ceremony was held... and some photo taking too...
later on, we went for an outdoor shooting... this is kind of the coolest part... the main attraction was the race cars... saw lots and lots of drifting... haha... pity i didn't have the chance to have a go at it... shot a video story at a place near the highway ( i forgot where), we went quite far too this time... this time, i and my friends rode in one if the race cars XD... super cool... but was a little bit frightening at first mainly because of the loud engine and low aliment of the car and also because the gear changing so totally not smooth...
the feeling at the place in totally indescribably awesome... haha... what with sitting in a race car driving in an open space area, other race cars drifting in a circle around and around you... XD... and also seeing all the expensive cars lining in a few rows and the small formation formed by the race cars when coming to a stop... lol...
as i said, we shot a short video story there (can't wait to see it tomorrow)... included some acting from the bride and groom, lots and lots of drifting, which brought lots more of dust, and tons and tons of scourging sun... haha... very sunny and hot day...
as i was saying, me and my friend rode in a race car when going to the site... but the driver of our car was so quiet... which made us afraid to talk to him... to me, he seemed like wanting to join in the stuns showing (drifting) but was afraid to do it because he was carrying us 3 'small girls'... when it was time to leave the site, my friend couldn't resist anymore and ask the driver whether he could do some drifting with his car... i saw that he was secretly smiling to himself (i was in the cold-driver seat)...
when we were leaving the place, i think the driver actually wanted to drift the car... but the circle made was quite small and there were many cars beside us... (so not too sure la...) and suddenly, we heard a big bump from beneath the car... seconds later, it was found that there was a problem with the gear box of our car... the gear wouldn't enter... the driver called an uncle from another car... and we were asked to leave first with the car of that uncle now driven by his wife...
we stop at the roadside just outside the place... apparently there were a few more shots needed... the auntie (looked very young) decided to ask another guy to drive her car while she drove the other as she feel she couldn't get the hang of the car...
chatted with that guy about some very lame stuffs on the way back... haha... after reaching back at the bride's house, we sticked around a bit before going back to the groom's house for a second round buffet (just drank a box of water)... helped the bride to undo her pins in her hair... stayed around short while more and decided to go back the bride's house again... i came home shortly after that...
the cars are super cool man... never been so in love with looking at cars... haha... pity i tak dpt take pictures of the cars (my camera and phone was left in the room at the bride's house)... sigh... perhaps i might have a chance tomorrow...
