Only had one class in the morning and the afternoon free,
went to Pyramid with
Qing, Andrea, Yi Wen and Car Yi...

had A&W for lunch :)

followed by a movie...

at first,
Car Yi was reluctant to watch :(
she said that there's no point in watching fictional movies
=.=
which this movie was quite so....
hmm...
anyway, in the end she agreed to watch also lo :D
haha...

quite a nice movie lo...
thought i must say,
the story line is kind of straight and dull lo...
but the effects and all were nice :))

Friday, 28 May

!!! PAWS !!!


got up around 7am
got ready and passed the remaining time reading

Nigel and Yi Wen reached around 8.40am
didn't see Yi Wen's first message :P
ran down...
left Suriamas at 8.4 5am

next stop,Qing's picked Qing, Andrea, Nic

then,
went makan at a nearby shop

lost our way around Subang Airport area
kept turning round and round
haha...

at last,
reached PAWS at about 10.30am
(we're supposed to reach there at 9am)
filled up the forms,
then,
had a kind of short briefing...
that person got quite so scary de lo...
hehe

then it was time to work !!

we were all placed in the Dog 's section

:))

brought the dogs out for a walk along the side road

then.......

bath time !!!

wiped them dry...

a bit tiring
but very super extremely fun :D

my first time walking and bathing a dog :))

of course,
we all ended up smelling like dogs too~~
haha... smelly smelly...

had lunch at a nearby mamak shop

Sat-Sunday, 29-30 May

~ Relay for Life ~
Bukit Jalil - MSN Training Stadium
6pm (29.05.2010) - 10am (30.05.2010)


left my place at 4pm
meet up with Kai Ling, walked over to Mentari
meet up with May
headed over to the KTM station

was not at all familiar with the journey to Bukit Jalil
followed May and Kai Ling

boarded the wrong LRT at the KTM-LRT transit station
haha
we went in the wrong direction for about 3 stops
then, made a ' U-turn '
boarded another LRT back

ended up reaching Bukit Jalil at about 6.30pm
tried our best to find the right stadium
that place is like so huge lo...

though there's maps around the place
MSN stadium was not named,
and
there's no directions telling you from which angle to read the map
lol...
anyway, found our way in the end
(after few phone calls and a helpful guard)

registered ourselves
changed into the Relay t-shirt

toilet was soooooooooo packed
no choice lo...

i did not bring my sandals :(
ended up
giving up on wearing my nice nice pretty shoe
decided to walk bare-footed

walking bare-footed on the soft, wet grass was very comforting
the muddy areas are still tolerable if u don't think too much about it
unfortunately,
I'll have to say the opposite for the pavements :(

most of the time
we were just walking around,
sitting at the sides,
eating and chatting...
walking around the track...


the most inspirational time of the Relay is
the Luminaria Ceremony
it is when we honour cancer survivors
and
remember those who have lost their battle with the disease

A Luminaria the a small paper bag with sand, holding a small candle
words or pictures are written/drawn onto the paper bag.

When the candle is lit,
the lantern casts a warm, golden glow.
These are lined all around at the side of the track
and lit throughout the night.


After some time,
it started to drizzle very lightly
so, we moved in to the covered stands of the stadium.
And ended generally spending the rest of our time there at the stands.

as night came,
we started to be exhausted
slowly,
one by one
we drifted off to sleep.



played cards with Andrea for an hour before going to sleep myself.

Left the stadium at about 8.30am
walked to the LRT station
then, transited to KTM
